ASOEXPO - Romanian Association of Fairs and Exhibitions Organizers
Romanian Association of Fairs and Exhibitions Organizers is a professional structure, non-governmental, voluntary, autonomous, non-political and non-profit, based on the commercial, organizing and leagl interests of the companies which organize fairs and exhibitions.
It comprises 27 members which consist of 21 territorial chambers of commerce and industry and 6 companies.
The association - shortly named ASOEXPO - was set-up as a necessity and a result of the continous goal of incresing the level of Romanian exhibitions and fairs.
ASOEXPO, founded in 1996, on 3rd of September, has shown its qualities in appreciating the exhibitions, becoming a club of quality and exigence in organizing fairs at international standards.
ASOEXPO promotes techo-economic and commercial interests, renders services of statistics' certification and accreditation of international fairs and exhibitions organized in Romania in compliance with its own audit settlement, it represents the interest of its members towards the public authorities as well as towards Romanian and foreign companies.

Turkey has participated at all TIBCO editions with national stand, and, beginning with 1998, at TIB, as well.

5.3. Economic missions
Some visits of the Turkish delegations to Romania:
- 20-21st of November 1993: delegation comprising over 40 businessmen.
- 27th of March 1994: businessmen who joined the President Suleyman Demirel.
- 26-27th of September 1994: the visit of Mr. Husamettin Kavi, the President of the Istanbul Chamber of Industry. The cooperation agreement between CCIR and Istanbul Chamber of Industry has been signed during this vist.
- 13th of November 1994: delegation of approx. 30 businessmen from Eskisehir, led by Mr. Suat Kutlu, the President of the regional Chamber of Commerce.
- 26th of March 1996: delegation of businessmen (65 companies) led by Mr. Nejat Eren, State deputy secretary at Ministry of Foreign Trade, at WTC Bucuresti. CCIR was invited to participate in.
- 18th of April 1996: visit of President Suleyman Demirel, joined by an economic mission comprising the presidents of TOBB, Adana, Ankara, Gazrantepr, Izmir Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, Eskisehir and Aegean zone Chamber of Industry.
- 17th of October 1996: visit of delegation of businessmen form Bursa, led by Mr Mutlu URAZ, vice-presedent of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The agreement between CCIR and CCI Bursa has been signed.
- 18th of April 1996: visit to Constanta, delegation led by Suleyman Demirel. The delegation have comprised the presidents of Adana, Ankara, Gazrantep, Izmir, Istanbul, Zona Egee Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Mr Camman Cortuk, President of BAYINDIR holding. Program organized by CCI Constanta and CCIR.
- 24.11.1997: visit of the President Suleyman DEMIREL, joined by a delegation of businessmen led by Mr Isin CELEBI, State Minister of Turkey on economic issues, and Mr Kamuran CORTUK, President of Turkish-Romanian Business Council. CCIRB has organized meetings of the Turkish delegation (180 members) with Romanian companies.
- 29th of June 1998: visit of CC Izmir delegation led by Mr Ekrem DEMIRTAS, President - 20 companies; the agreement between CCIR and CC Izmir has been signed; there were held meetings with Romanian companies.
- 15th of December 1998: visit of Association of businessmen from Gebze, Turkey (GESIAD), comprising 23 companies and led by Mr Sevket TAYCI, President. CCIRB has organised bilateral meetings with Romanian companies. The representative of CCIRB was Mr Florin BURADA, vice-president.
Some visits of Romanian delegations to Turkey:
- Economic mission organised by CCIR on occasion of the fair held at Izmir, where Romania has participated as a special guest. The representative of CCIRB has been invited to hold a speech on Romania's National Day (1994).
- 10 - 20th of May 1996: Romanian economic mission in Turkey (Ankara, Kirikkale, Kaiseri, Eskisehir), led by Mr George COJOCARU, general Secretary of CCIR. The delegation has comprised also the presidents CCI Constanta, Braila, Covasna and the vice-president of CCI Iasi
- 23rd of August - 3rd of September 1996: economic mission led by Mr George COJOCARU, President of CCIR, at Istanbul, Izmit, Izmir (contacts at the International Fair - Romania had national stand). The delegation consisted of presidents of CCI Bistrita, Mehedinti, Bihor, Olt, the general secretary of CCI Suceava and the managing director of CCI Constanta.
